Sitio Batol is an 0.5 hectare rice farm near the coast on Luzon, one of the biggest of the 7000 islands that make up the Philippines. Central Luzon is regarded as the rice granary of the country. The farm has existed for 60 years and is rented by Virgilio Cayago who runs it with the help of his family.
