Let the subject of

NATURE IN WINTER
 Inspire and fire your school’s creative talents

Schools are invited to produce works of:-
•    VERSE
•    ART
We will design, build and plant a bespoke ‘wildlife conservation garden’ at the school whose entry is judged to be the best overall. This will provide a first class and enduring teaching resource for a variety of curriculum subjects.
The runner up will be awarded a laptop computer for their school.
Workshops in Art or Verse will also be offered to the winning school and also to the runner up.

PLEASE NOTE:-
•    Each school may submit up to four entries in each category
•    Entries will be judged on quality not quantity
•    Entries should be sent no later than the closing date of 30th November 2011 to:-

•    Judging will take place on December 12th 2011
•    The decision of the judge is final
•    No entries will be returned but the winning entries may be published on our website at:- www.gamekeeperstrust.org.uk        
 

The theme of the competition is: NATURE IN WINTER

We hope that schools and pupils will be motivated by the wealth of inspiration to be found in wildlife, countryside locations, situations, traditions and practices.
Schools are invited to submit entries in two categories:- Art and Verse

The overall judge will be ‘Professor Ian McMillan’ the ‘Bard of Barnsley’, Poet, Broadcaster, Comedian and Art connoisseur.

VERSE:-
            Entries in the Verse category will be accepted in poetry or prose
            All entries must be hand written and clearly legible
Entries should be no more than 500 words but quality rather than quantity will take preference

 ART:-
             Entries in the Art category will be accepted in:-
             Drawing, Painting or Illustration.
             Each entry should be no bigger than A3 but preferably A4 size

No entries in either category will be returned but the winners and a selection of near winners may be featured on our website.
