2011 Image Winner: Will Nicholls

As the only animal photography competition that is exclusively for Under19’s it’s a perfect summer project. The aim of the competition is to encourage young people to get out and about and appreciate the amazing animal kingdom that surrounds us, whether it’s bugs at the bottom of the garden to wild goats on the hillside, this competition is open to all species!
You don’t need to be a professional photographer or have expensive equipment to enter, some of our previous finalists have used a basic camera or even camera phone to enter the competition.
With some great prizes including top of the range Olympus cameras, behind the scenes photoshoots at an RSPCA centre and a day out with top wildlife photographer Danny Green it’s worth giving it a go.
Entries can be uploaded quickly and easily via the website www.rspca.org.uk/ypa and with a range of categories to enter there is something for everyone!
For teachers there are resources and details on how it links into the key stages on the website.
