Omelette_finalAt the final of the Grow Your Own Omelette competition organised by School Food Matters and the School Farms Network, Hampton Hill Junior School and Edwalton Primary School battled for the primary prize and Grey Court School and Warriner School represented secondary schools.

The finalists were chosen by competition sponsors, Rocket Gardens and Flyte So Fancy and an expert from FACE: Farm and Countryside Education.

At the final event at the Real Food Festival on Thursday 5 May 2011, a panel including Arthur Potts Dawson, Rosie Boycott and rugby legend, Lawrence Dallagli tasted the omelettes and the winners were announced as Edwalton Primary School and Warriner School.

The winning schools will each receive a year’s worth of school gardens from Rocket Gardens and a £50 voucher from Flyte So Fancy, so that schools can buy some quality kit for their feathered friends.
