End of an era at FACE as Executive Director steps down

Farming and Countryside Education (FACE) has announced that Bill Graham is stepping down as Executive Director after 12 years.

He was appointed to the role when the organisation launched in 2001 to work with all agricultural and rural sectors in order to help young people learn more about food, farming and the countryside.

Growing Schools Conference 2013

GS ConferenceThis year's Growing Schools Conference took place in the grand surroundings of Hatfield House in Hertfordshire.

Over 80 delegates, including a party form the University of Minnesota, enjoyed touring the marketplace and networking with many organisations involved in food growing in schools.  Afterwards, they selected from a menu of workshops which included hands-on growing activities plus tours of Hatfield House and Gardens.
