Farmlink Wrington Bristol seeks keen gardeners |
Friday, 09 March 2012 10:50 |
Farmlink has a garden nearing completion with two allotments, 18 raised beds a poly tunnel that I am actively seeking volunteers for. Ideally four people would be involved so the role wouldn’t be too onerous and they wouldn’t have to worry about looking for cover if they weren’t available. They need to be keen gardeners, understand the mechanics of growing and be reasonable communicators. It is based at Lower Stock Farm, Wrington, Bristol BS40 5HT. The main users will be primary school pupils in term time and various community groups at weekends and occasionally in school holidays. It will link in with a kitchen classroom where those using the garden will be able to take harvested crops, prepare and cook.
