There are 10 bungalows on the farm and 2 cottages. Over the last 4 years, 8 bungalows have been sold to release capital to pay off some of the land purchased from Scottish Life. The remaining properties are let, except for one which is lived in by one of our five farm workers.

Opportunities have arisen from the sale of the bungalows with possibilities of converting old piggery buildings, which have been empty for several years, into a small business. We have currently converted one and are looking at opportunities for others.

We looked at Wind Generation and the possibilities of wind turbines on the farm. There was much opposition from several environmental organisations and the plans were dropped. I have to say that I am not sure that wind power is the most efficient way forward.
