Love it Eat it offers a pair of publications filled with interesting facts about the food we grow here in Britain.  Originally conceived to educate food consumers (parents!) about British produced food, Love it…Eat it has published two books: Love it … Eat it a coffee table sized collection of interesting and fun facts about the goodness, value and wholesomeness of the food produced in Britain, and the countryside in which its produced, and Crunch – a smaller and more animated version of the same information aimed at a younger audience (school children). The books are designed to be easy to read, attractive, fun, and a useful, memorable, informative reference for readers from age 6 to 96 !

Both publications were put through several consumer focus groups to be certain the messages they deliver are what the food consumer wants to read. And they’ve been well received. Most especially the smaller Crunch booklet, a copy of which is given to every child visiting The Co-operative’s demonstration farms across the country (about 27,000 a year). The books are being distributed, free of charge, throughout the primary food markets in the country: Population centres where consumers don’t have the chance to get out into the countryside as often as they might like. The message and information which Love it … Eat it puts out is an important message in this year of British Food and Farming … and beyond.

Not encyclopaedias, not text books, just straightforward, interesting and fun information about the food we all love to eat. Their aim is to build an understanding for children and their families about the choices, high production standards, wholesomeness and freshness as well as value of home grown produce.
