The Buzz Game has been developed to simulate changes you can make to a field over three years. Choose your field margins, beetle banks and bird crop and away you go.

Breathing Places - Schools

bbc-breathing-places.jpgBBC Breathing Places Schools is a 2 year project that launched in January 2008. The aims of the project are:

• To make simple improvements for UK biodiversity.
• To encourage children to learn about wildlife in an active manner
• To enable all schools to take part, regardless of budget or time constraints

Biodiversity Project

CatepillarFACE promotes farm visits where children can find out how farmers look after the farm environment and thereby encourage a wide diversity of wildlife.

A folder of activities has been produced to accompany farm trips along with a poster highlighting the environmental work done by farmers today.

Snail Survey Record

Paddock House Farm Powerpoint
 Paddock House FarmA visit to Paddock House Farm by pupils from Woodlands Junior School in North Yorkshire stimulated some creative work including a PowerPoint presentation on using willow as a fuel and biodiversity on the farm. Download it here.

Potato Posters

Potato PosterThis year is the International Year of the Potato which aims to show the role that the potato can play in providing food security and eradicating poverty. These two posters have been produced to demonstrate the biodiversity of the potato and some of its many wild relatives which eventually led to the potato we know today.
