The top boars which are selected through the JSR genetics programme (PEST) are sent to JSR Artificial Insemination stations for customer purchase of AI. Sale boars and gilts for use in customer breeding herds are sold both to customers here in the UK and also exported worldwide. In addition, pig manure and slurry are treated and used on arable land as fertiliser.
