Barangay Busay

Maximo Casiendo's farm at Barangay Busay on the island of Negros covers 2.8 hectares. The farm was previously part of a large sugar plantation, but in 1996 its ownership was transferred under the Land Reform Act which was designed to give land to previously landless peasants. It now grows rice and maize, with some vegetables and cassava in the garden.
