About Us

Farming and Countryside Education is a charity* registered in England and Wales that exists to educate children and young people about food, farming and the countryside.

We do this because we want to see:

We equip teachers and the education profession, we support farmers to work with schools and we partner with agri-food organisations and businesses.

We are voluntarily funded by our members, corporate and organisational partners, trust funds and individual donors.

We are governed by our trustee board and managed by our staff team in Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire.

Around England and Wales, we are represented by our team of  Regional Education Consultants who train and advise teachers and farmers to create powerful learning experiences in school and on the farm.

Over  our 16 year history, we have been building our impact and are highly trusted and respected by both the education and farming communities.

*Farming and Countryside Education has merged with Linking Environment And Farming (LEAF) as of 30 June 2017. LEAF is a registered charity (No. 1045781) and a company limited by guarantee registered in England (No. 3035047).

In the merged organisation, the FACE Trustee board will form the inaugural Education Advisory Board of LEAF and two members of the former FACE Trustee Board will join the LEAF board.
